Our objective is to assist our clients reach their fullest potential by supporting their personal goals and enhancing their daily activities. We are currently expanding our team and looking for passionate Disability Support Workers to join our NDIS division in the Bankstown district.

**Role Overview**:
As a Disability Support Worker with Nexus Division, you will play a critical role in the daily support and care of our clients. This position involves:

- Assisting with the daily living activities of individuals to promote their independence and well-being.
- Implementing tailored care plans to manage complex mental health needs and behavioral challenges.
- Employing de-escalation techniques as needed and ensuring the safety and dignity of clients at all times.
- Maintaining accurate records and completing necessary documentation.
- Collaborating with a dedicated team to provide consistent and effective support.

**Shifts and Working Hours**:

- Flexible shifts available from 6 AM to 8 PM and 8 PM to 6 AM, Monday through Sunday.
- Minimum of three days of guaranteed work per week, with opportunities for additional shifts.
- Penalty rates and sleepover allowances, with shift preferences considered during the interview process.
- Experience in mental health, support work, nursing, or related fields is highly advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A compassionate, person-centered approach to care, treating all individuals with respect and dignity.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the varying needs of clients.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Willingness to travel locally within the Sydney North Coast area.
- COVID-19 vaccination.
- Capacity to provide personal care to clients.
- Ownership of an insured vehicle, with readiness to use it for client support if necessary.
- Experience in Disability, Mental Health, or Aged Care sectors.
