The Network Planning and Construction Manager (Commercial Property) will determine best locations nationally (mid to long term), work through the individual business cases, manage construction and work with Tenant Advisors to build out the detail associated with Strategic Facilities Plan including Existing Sites and their potential relocation, and the establishment of Pop Up and Satellite Locations.

**Description**

Reporting to the Director

**You will**:

- Work with a range of partner organisation to scout locations, design innovative assets and manage the construction phase of a project are all key responsibilities
- Present to senior stakeholders around strategy and business cases will be critical to success.
- Utilise your strong Project management skills in taking an idea from concept to delivery
- Work as a part of a diverse and cross functional team to understand the existing portfolio and further opportunities to enhance and innovate this.
- Experience in working with sub-contractors particularly construction and fit out organisations.
- Negotiate and manage major construction contracts with a view to increase quality, reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
- Coordinate and direct quality control procedures and the implementation of safety requirements, ensuring statutory requirements are met.
- Control the preparation of costings, budgets and reports.
- Plan details of activity in terms of output quality, quantity, cost, time, labour, equipment and materials requirements.

**Profile**

To be successful in this role, you will have 5+ years relevant work experience in Project Management specifically across Corporate Real Estate, Construction, Mobile Facilities/ Pop Up/ Satellite Facilities etc along with background in managing a facilities portfolio in a national distributed operating model with some experience in defining future location format and strategy.

Bachelors' or relevant qualification(s) in Engineering, Project Management, are preferable.

**Your background will demonstrate**:

- Proven ability to effectively manage a large volume of fast-paced projects on an ongoing basis;
- High-level understanding of project management principles and Australian building, design, and construction industry regulations;
- Proven strong relationship management skills, with experience within a Government department is desirable
- A passion for innovation and a forward-thinking approach to design and construction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership, and site management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Energetic and enthusiastic approach.
- Extensive contract management experience.
- Strong negotiation skills.
