Position Summary

The Specialist Capability Unit (SCU), within the Priority Populations and Capability Group, works across the

institute providing support in machine learning, geospatial analysis, the analyst toolkit and statistical analysis,

as well as a training program which spans the software and analytical techniques of the institute.

The Priority Populations and Capability Group is looking for a geospatial support officer to operate within

building geospatial products, new capability development and training to staff as needed.

Under general direction you will:

- Provide one-on-one geospatial support and training.
- Provide expert advice on geospatial analysis and data visualisation.
- Directly contribute to AIHW projects as a GIS technician.
- Manage the AIHW geospatial data repository.
- Develop relevant support materials, user guides, and training material.
- Contribute to the AIHW geospatial community.

This position reports directly to the EL1 Geospatial Advisor and has no supervisory responsibilities.
