To effectively manage the Warehouse in regards to all stock and freight movements and implement improvements within the warehousing environment. Managing of warehousing staff to optimize their productivity while meeting all aspects of OHS and cost objectives.

Supervision / Co-ordination:

- Manage staff on a daily basis and give direction according to the daily priorities.
- Review daily time & attendance, roster management and report any deviations to HR.
- Participate in formal reviews and appraisals conducted by the HR / Operations Manager.

Loading / unloading of goods:

- Monitoring Loading of trucks. Proper use of forklifts in the warehouse.
- Work with the Freight and Logistics Manager in regards to daily movements of freight to our customers and stock transfers between interstate warehouses and site locations.
- Ensuring correct goods are loaded after successful payments are processed.
- Auditing stock levels to ensure the locations are correctly updated upon shipment.
- Sign off on all documentation. (Delivery and dispatch dockets etc.)
- Assist in all Freight Container movements, loading, unloading, documentation etc.

Stock Control:

- Assist with stock checks before dispatch.
- Assist in all Warehouse stock movements and customer deliveries.
- Participate in stock counts and stock control. Audit and share monthly reports.

Quality / Specifications:

- Assist with quality issues raised on the stock.

Communication / Goal Setting:

- Involvement in regular meetings: General Toolbox, HR Meetings, Management Meetings
- Assistance to the Location Manager to record KPI’s (key performance indicators).
- Report any shortcoming of achieving goals set, immediately upon obtaining knowledge.
- Weekly Management reporting.

House Keeping & Continuous improvement:

- Ensures oneself along with the warehousing staff to constantly work on continuous improvement and housekeeping activities to provide a safe and effective work environment.
- House Keeping and general stock level checks of the warehouse (pantry and other stuff)
- Work with Teams/Management to ensure all Safety, Quality, Work Cover and continual improvements objectives are met and recommends methods of improvement.

Training:

- Engage in training and coaching activities of new recruits and existing employees to help perform the role to the highest degree.
- Any other training support required by the Management from time to time.

Asset Management:

- To Work with all staff to ensure company assets are maintained in good condition. Any repair are managed well through preventative maintenance and short term breakdown repairs.

Safety/ OHS/Culture/HR:

- Leads by example the safety culture and actively participates by offering suggestions to the Management Members. Of any improvements.
- Report all staff issues to HR / Management promptly.
- Performance issues of staff and any negligence or misconduct to report to HR / Management promptly.

Skills Required:

- Ability to work effectively with teams and team members.
- Good communication at all levels.
- Ability to identify problems or issues and report promptly to the Management.
- Will adopt and maintain all safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures within the work area completing tasks assigned with general direction.
- Accountable & Responsible for the job roles assigned.
- Takes initiative and used own judgment.
- Guide employees at lower level the job expectations

Work Health and Safety:

- Inform Manager / HR of any hazards/risk that may be noticed in and/or around the company.
- Inform Management of any damaged or missing goods.
- Lift, push and/or pull goods and/or devices correctly at all times.
- Keep the workplace clean and tidy at all times.
- Report any unsafe practices to your Management.
- Immediately report any injury to self and/or other employees and visitors.
