**About Us**:
Victoria University (VU) is the University of the West and its TAFE division, Victoria University Polytechnic delivers accredited courses, apprenticeships, traineeships and customised training programs that link closely with industry. The Community Health courses are delivered at our Footscray Nicholson, Sunshine & Werribee campus.
Victoria University Polytechnic's Community Health department are looking for a passionate and experienced educator to assist students in the journey of launching their careers in Health Administration.
**About the Role**:
As a Sessional Teacher you will be delivering the training and assessment of Certificate III in Health Administration course at our Footscray Nicholson, Sunshine & Werribee campuses.
You will work closely with fellow Teachers to provide the best learning experience for the students; as well as you will be contributing to the continuous improvement of its learning and assessment resources.
An example of duties you may perform will include:
- Teaching classes in the Certificate III in Health Administration
- Preparing class content materials including case notes, problem-based learning scenarios, and delivering classes
- Competency based assessment and student evaluation
- Establishing and maintaining a positive and respectful learning environment for students, from all diverse backgrounds
**Salary and Conditions of Employment**:
- For the sessional teaching roles, the hourly rate payable is $83.56 plus 11% superannuation
**About You**:
- At least 2 years with Industry Experience in Health Administration either in a hospital or community setting.
- Current Working with Children Check (E)
- Passionate about sharing your knowledge with the next generation of healthcare workers.
- Willingness to continually learn and develop as a TAFE Teacher.
- Experience in other areas of health and community care such as aged care is highly desirable
