**What’s involved?**

You will be a part of a team who will be responsible for:

- Open the pool each day and close it down each evening, depending on schedule and hours
- Treat the pool with appropriate concentration of chemicals on a regular schedule
- Monitor pool-related activities closely throughout shift and identify any safety issues
- Direct swimmers out of the pool in hazardous conditions
- Monitor weather reports closely to ensure safety of guests
- Organise and oversee pool parties
- Provide swimming lessons and swim team coaching when available
- Maintain a clean environment in and around the pool
- Provide assistance to patrons when appropriate or necessary

**Life Guard required**

Criteria
- Applicants must be Australian citizens to meet Defence Security requirements / Be a Naturalised Australian citizen with a Naturalisation certificate as proof.
- Must have an AFP (Australian Federal Police Clearance) current within 30 days.
- Be prepared to undergo further Security vetting.
- Experienced in Life Guard work
- Drivers Licence / Own vehicle. (Manual Licence is an advantage)
- Be available any day of the week.
- Be self-motivated
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Need to have successful results in a driven team
- Engage effectively with other team members

Any day of the week - available shifts include 6am-2pm and 2pm-9pm, weekends inclusive

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $21.02 - $37.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Edinburgh SA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
