Geotechnical Technician

Join ADE Consulting Group as a Geotechnical Technician and contribute to exciting residential, commercial/industrial and civil infrastructure projects. As part of our expanding Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Team, you will play a vital role in conducting field and laboratory testing across a broad range of test methods, ensuring compliance with Australian and TfNSW standards.
**What you will do**
As a Geotechnical Field Technician at ADE Consulting Group, you will conduct laboratory tests and field investigations on construction materials and earth materials, such as GITA Level 1 and Level 2 Supervision. Your role will involve collecting, analysing and reporting laboratory testing data and ensuring compliance with specifications. You will set up and operate technical instruments to conduct field testing, collect geotechnical data, take measurements, and maintain detailed records.
Collaborating closely with our geotechnical engineering team and external clients, including construction contractors, local authorities/government agencies and private developers, you will help facilitate smooth project operations while adhering to site health and safety procedures. Your work will be vital in supporting the successful delivery of development and infrastructure projects to alleviate the current housing affordability issues and contribute to the universal sustainability goal.
Receive appropriate training, guidance and supervision to provide:
- Conduct laboratory tests on construction materials and earth materials.
- Collect laboratory test data, analysis, and calculations in the laboratory.
- Set up and operate technical instruments to conduct field testing and gather geotechnical data on-site
- Take measurements, make calculations, and data entry to maintain detailed records
- Liaise with internal geotechnical engineers and external clients, including construction contractors, government agencies and private developers to ensure smooth project operations.
- Ensure conducting laboratory testing and site supervision meeting Australian Standards, TfNSW or other local authorities' requirements and specifications

**About you**
- Experienced in Construction Materials Testing (CMT)
- Good knowledge of Australian Standard and TfNSW Test Methods.
- Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good physical fitness for manual handling tasks.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, with a strong work ethic.
- Preferable, Radiation Nuke Licence, OHS Construction White Card
