**Description**:
The opportunity.
This permanent position directly supports our purpose and ensures our members can count on us by delivering outstanding service to meet member needs while achieving agreed performance outcomes and maintaining compliance obligations.
**This position is accountable for**:
- Delivering outstanding member service to achieve agreed performance goals including enabling members to achieve their financial goals.
- Opening accounts, processing transactions, and responding to member queries.
- Proactively promoting Defence Bank to broaden and grow our member base.
- Completing branch tasks to ensure ongoing compliance with legislation and Defence Bank’s policies and processes.
- Communicating across all levels of Defence Bank to maintain knowledge and awareness.
- Presenting to an audience of Defence personnel.
**Skills and Experiences**:

As a customer service star, you’re passionate about providing a consistent yet memorable experience. Your knack for uncovering needs, providing appropriate solutions, and achieving results wills see you excel in this position. You connect with people, establish rapport and building trust quickly.
**To be successful in this position, you will have**:
- Experience within a customer facing administrative or retail team.
- The ability to critically review the way things are done to improve processes and reduce member effort.
- High level of organisational and communication skills.
**Demonstrated experience or skills in**:
- Achieving agreed goals in line with individual and team plans.
- Building effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Facilitating presentations and engagement strategies to small and large groups.
- Balancing competing priorities such as, answering incoming calls, processing personal loans, serving members at the counter, and continuous learning and professional development.
- Developing effective relationships with your people leader, peers, and colleagues who may work across various locations.
