**About the role**:
This role forms part of Victoria Police's dynamic Accounts Payable Team within the Financial Services Department.

The team is responsible for providing financial and administrative support to the organisation encompassing the processing and maintenance of all invoices, statements, and enquiries from Victoria Police's suppliers and customers. The team currently consists of 17 staff members reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, who in turn reports to the Branch Manager and the Chief Financial Officer

The team is also responsible for maintaining a customer service line for enquiries relating to invoice payments and processing for both internal and external clients

Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements.

**Your duties will include**:

- Processing invoice transactions in accordance with procedures and government requirements. Use of Kofax and the Oracle financial System
- Investigate, escalate, and resolve any problems encountered during processing
- Mail and supporting admin functions
- Processing expenses /Petty Cash/Journals
- Handling Accounts Payable enquiries from Internal and External Customers.
- Reconciling accounts
- Communicating with Suppliers re best practises
- Compiling reports & Audit

- Ability to work within a team environment and independently.
- Be a good Communicator.
- Have good attention to detail and experience in Accounts Payable
- Adaptability and Collaborative skills

**Requirements and relevant information**:

- Three (3) x full-time, ongoing position available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- The successful applicant will need to work onsite 5 days a week during probationary period
- Salary upon commencement is paid at the base of the salary range.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
