THE ROLE

We are seeking a well-organised and experienced Student Case Management Officer to provide advice and support to students and staff in resolving complex student issues, ensuring a high level of service to students in the Macquarie Business School.

Reporting to the Student Case Management Team Leader, this role will job share with an experienced team member working the other 2 days. You will utilise a case management approach and liaise with staff across the University regarding complex student issues that may relate to programs, policies and processes. You will identify students at academic risk and provide interventions, identify and respond to welfare or wellbeing issues, maintain accurate student records and case notes and report on trends in student activity to identify potential risks or improvements to the student experience.

ABOUT YOU

You will have an excellent knowledge of student services and support processes and course and degree structures and proven expertise in providing policy advice and information, preferably within a higher education setting. You will also have demonstrated experience in supporting the delivery of education and/or complex student services settings.

Your ability to manage multiple tasks, competing deadlines and adaptability to changing circumstances will be essential to the smooth running of the position. Excellent communication skills and strong customer focus and ability to work effectively with committees and stakeholders at all levels will be key to success in this role.

- Intermediate computing skills using Microsoft Office, Student Management Systems or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
- Demonstrated experience interpreting complex policies and procedures with the ability to provide quality and timely advice across a broad range of matters and issues
- Time management and organisational skills, and ability to coordinate and deliver on competing deadlines
