**About the role
**The Group Privacy & Customer Trust Team operates as a central team that sets the strategy for, and drives privacy and responsible data use uplift across Woolworths. This includes the management of privacy risk, PIAs, governance, training and awareness, data ethics, incident management, resource development, compliance and reporting, evaluation and enhancements.

The Privacy Specialist is an integral member of the Group Privacy & Customer Trust Team team and will deliver privacy and customer trust solutions for Woolworths Group with a focus on our Digital and Loyalty areas. Critical to this role is preparedness for regulatory changes, compliance, governance and the building of stakeholder relationships across Woolworths Group.

**Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Building and embedding key components of the Privacy+ Framework into systems, processes and governance in alignment with Privacy, Cyber, IT, Technology and Data Governance teams
- Delivering key foundational and strategic priorities that evolve our Privacy & Customer Trust maturity to realise our ambition as a privacy leader
- Best practice systems and processes to enhance privacy governance including the execution of PIAs, Incident Management, Data Governance, Privacy Risk and Policy Development initiatives & resources across the various business units
- Recommend, develop and support best practice in conjunction with Legal teams to manage change as a result of changing privacy legislation and regulations
- Build and develop relationships with key senior stakeholders across the Group to influence and implement effective privacy & data ethics capability

**Who we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced Privacy professional, with the ability to build and develop relationships with key senior stakeholders across the Group. This role is part of a collaborative team which works to deliver key privacy capabilities to ensure privacy risks are effectively understood and managed responsibly.

**Accountabilities:
- Accurately rating Privacy and Data Ethics risks consistent with internal risk and privacy frameworks
- Providing expert guidance support on privacy related obligations and other relevant non-legal considerations
- Support the strategic direction for privacy uplift across the Group
- Development of key policies, procedures and guidelines for privacy
- Continuing of Privacy Risk Management initiatives
- Support embedding Spam Act compliance best practice and standards
- Effective governance of Incident Management portfolio across WooliesX
- Escalation point for PIAs and privacy advice across WooliesX

**Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in Privacy or a related field
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field including Business, Law, Technology, Privacy or related
- Proficient knowledge of Privacy Act, Australian Privacy Principles, OAIC guidance
- Privacy experience in the areas of marketing communications and advertising technology highly desirable
- Experience in PIA methodologies and privacy by design
- Risk Management

- Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills including presentations
- IAPP certification or other related studies in privacy, governance, ethics
