The Client

u&u are proud to be partnering with a major NSW utility company looking to build out their specialist tax group, starting with the recruitment of a Tax Analyst as one of their first hires.

About the Role

As Tax Analyst, you will be an essential part of the Corporate Finance function, reporting to the Tax Manager and working closely with the wider finance function.

**Day-to-day responsibilities will include**:
Ensuring tax compliance through reporting across Income Tax, GST, FBT and Payroll Tax;
Interpreting new tax legislation and ensuring the business is acting in accordance with this, highlighting this to the wider group; and

Supporting the Tax Manager with effective tax governance, developing the group's Tax Governance Framework.

Skills & Experience

3+ years tax experience, either gained in the commercial environment or a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm;
CA/CPA qualified or part qualified;
Strong analytic and communication skills; and

Confident working with and adapting to new tax software and ERP systems.
