**Your new company**

A joint venture company specialised in managing all aspects of terminal activities for customers, ranging from the storage and handling of bulk liquid fuels to maintenance and engineering services.

**Your new role**

The role carries out the permit to work process and ensures that all aspects of our control of work procedures are in place before allowing work to commence.
- Safely control non-routine work utilising the Control of Work system by achieving Issuing Authority accreditation.
- Safely control non-routine work by providing site supervision to ensure all maintenance and project works are safely managed and completed.
- Assist the maintenance and project delivery partner to schedule maintenance activities to limit the impact on operations.
- Assist the Safety Advisor to identify safety barrier deficiencies and improvement opportunities to feed into maintenance and project plans and budgets.
- Assist the Safety Advisor in ensuring all site maintenance and project works are safely managed and completed.
- Contribute to the strategic plan via the implementation of agreed policies, plans and personal objectives.
- Assists in the implementation of agreed industry safety standards by staff personnel, delivery partners, contractors, and other site visitors through monitoring adherence to terminal operating rules and regulations.
- Ensure safety standards are maintained by reviewing and ensuring compliance with the delivery partner provided SWMS and other task procedures.
- Ensure that products and operations are handled and meet statutory requirements and internal policies and procedures.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Proven ability to identify the steps required to complete a task safely. E.g. analysis of critical steps, evaluation of risks and development of controls to mitigate these risks.
- Experience in bulk fuel terminals or refinery operations.
- Experience in working with 3rd party contractors in an operational environment.
- An experienced communicator, able to communicate with influence and respect to external and internal stakeholders and manage a diverse range of relationships.
- IT skills - Outlook, MS Office suite, Microsoft Teams, MYOSH, Mainpac.
- Experience in maintenance standards, quality accreditation procedures, tankship discharge and flammable liquids compliance AS1940.
- Control of work, and work permitting experience in flammable and combustible storage facilities.
- Trade Qualification would be highly regarded
- Tertiary Qualification would be highly regarded
