**The Opportunity**

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Women's and Babies' team as a **Staff Consultant Neonatology** on a **Casual **basis.

As the Staff Consultant Neonatology, you will be responsible for providing high quality inpatient and outpatient / community neonatal care, using evidence based best practice, in conjunction with other staff neonatologists and in keeping with the current ‘Standards for Maternal and Neonatal Services’ in South Australia. You will also pursue education and research within the Division and contribute to team work within a multidisciplinary environment in order to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

**About You**

**To be eligible for this role you require a **Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent with appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration (where appropriate); or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.

To be successful in this role, you will use your well developed interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive health outcomes and to foster productive working relationships both internally and externally and you demonstrated commitment to providing a quality service to the patient.

If you have experience in all levels of Neonatal Care in a large tertiary hospital setting and in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as experience in, and commitment to, working within a multidisciplinary team with an interdisciplinary approach to services, then this role is for you.

Essentially you will also have interest in and evidence of recent involvement in clinical research including publication.
