**About the Role**

Reporting to the Manager - Environmental Service, you will be working within a fast-paced team-focused environment within our new Mental Health Unit kitchen.

Your duties may include, but are not limited to:

- The Patient Service Assistant is responsible in providing a safe, clean Ward/Unit environment in accordance with Infection Control and Occupational Safety and Health regulations.
- Under direction and supervision, you will provide effective support contributing to the operational management of the hospital.
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Assist in stock maintenance and control
- You will demonstrate a good work ethic that includes punctuality, integrity, respect for others, and a commitment to professional practice.

Additionally, you will:

- Perform all **waste management **and soiled linen** tasks, decontaminate all bins, and securely manage **Clinical Waste**:

- Perform all cleaning tasks, including decontamination of beds and cleaning of Wards and equipment
- Identifies risks and hazards and reports promptly to ensure that safety measures are maintained.
- Perform other adhoc duties as required and requested by management.

You are a positive and energetic team player who enjoys working as part of a supportive, collaborative team and independently when required.

**Your Skills and Experience**
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise workloads
- Completion of **PART training**, or willingness to undertake before starting essential
- Knowledge and understanding of material data safety sheets is desirable
- Experience in cleaning services in a hospital or healthcare setting is desirable
- You are dedicated to the highest standards of safety, cleanliness and infection control
- Flexible to work a 14-day roster with a variety of shifts available is desirable

**Remuneration**

A base hourly rate ranging from **$26.46 - $29.30 **+ superannuation, dependent on relevant skills and experience. (RHC WA EN and Support Services Level 1 - Level 4)

**Requirements**:
