What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Training Coordinator to join our team and support a growing region with a strong pipeline of projects in 2023.

You’ll work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement and evaluate training and development strategies to support our Northern & Central Region.

This role provides the opportunity to travel between our large infrastructure projects located across Queensland and within our Central Region comprising our projects situated in Adelaide and Western Australia.

Your contribution

In this dynamic role you’ll have the opportunity to develop and implement a broad range of training and development activities that support our region and its projects.
- Adhering to the requirements of any State Training Policies and ensuring contractual requirements on Projects are achieved
- Effectively analysing the skills development needs of the project workforce and mapping skilling requirements against nationally accredited training packages and other workforce training
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement programs which improve opportunities available for apprentices and trainees
- Coordination and recording of accredited and non-accredited skilling and training opportunities of the workforce and supply chain
- Preparing relevant quarterly/monthly status reports as requested by the Client or Project Team and identifying opportunities to secure wage subsidies that enhance learning and development outcomes for new and existing employees
- Researching and securing funding opportunities to help support and provide training and development opportunities to employees
- Providing assistance and guidance in the field of training and development to the estimating and tendering department during expression of interest and tenders submissions
- Preparing high-quality Training Management/ Skills Development Plans and implementing across projects where required by contract
- Developing strategies and programs that enhance the skills and development of the workplace, aid in the attraction and retention of staff and leave a legacy in the communities in which we operate

Ideally, you will have:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills that combine with problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative style with the ability to quickly build relationships and engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience working in the infrastructure industry and familiarity with the Queensland Training Policy and Training Policy Administration System (TPAS) will be highly desirable
