We currently have an opportunity for a **Team Leader - Management Accounting** with SAP experience to join our team. You will be responsible for managing a team of accountants and assistant accountants, delivering all the required accounting services on behalf of the relevant line of business. They are accountable for providing accurate, timely and insightful information to the Manager Accounting Services to support understanding of the financial performance. This role will facilitate the consolidation of the management/financial accounts and reports by undertaking month-end processing, overseeing governance control, reporting and analytics, and assist with statutory reporting as required.

Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, you can also expect to be involved in the advancement of our Finance and Performance function; from innovating processes, to assisting on a variety of internal projects.

**What you’ll do**

The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:

- Day-to-day management of the relevant Accounting Services team, including quality assurance of deliverables.
- Oversight on the preparation of month-end, management reporting, budget preparation, variance analysis and transactional accounting processes (where required).
- Direct daily activities of accounting staff in the department to accurately record the revenues, expenditures, assets, and liabilities of the company.
- Supervise and direct client alliances, as well as establish new businesses from existing clients.
- Establish and maintain cordial relationships with internal and external clients.
- Establish and preserve accounting standards to ensure error-free and prompt generation of financial statements.
- Support team members on financial, technical, and operational matters as required, and represent the financial position as required.

**What you’ll bring**
- Relevant Degree qualifications required.
- Completed and current CA or CPA would be highly regarded.
- Several years’ experience in a similar role.
- Relevant experience in financial/management accounting including profit and loss and balance sheet analysis, and KPI analysis required.
- Previous financial analysis experience within the engineering, construction and maintenance industry is highly desirable.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and coaching at a variety of levels and within different sectors/functions.
- Experience working with a large, project-based financial systems; experience with SAP is required.
- Sound communication skills, both written and verbal.
