**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Sales Manager to assist and support the Store Manager in the effective and efficient running of the daily operations of the business.
This role will create sales and GP (gross profit) through effective management of sale team members
and business operations.

**THIS ROLE WILL SEE YOU**:

- Maintain a strong focus on the business and understand the sales trends and sales forecasts. Working with the team to maximise sales opportunity and achieving given KPIs with daily and monthly reviews with the Store Manager;
- Motivate, encourage and lead the sales team members to provide excellence in customer service to achieve sales and gross profit targets on a daily, weekly and monthly basis;
- Provide clear communication and consistent, constructive feedback on a monthly basis to all team members as to their sales and pre-order performance as well as individual plans for improvement;
- Reinforce the selling skills and customer service programmes to ensure effective execution;
- Ensure each location is sufficiently staffed at all times to maximise our sales opportunities;
- Authorise discounts in line with company policy and guidelines;
- Maintain a very high standard of store presentation, including visual merchandising and stock levels by encouraging the practise of good housekeeping according to Lotte standards;
- Provide feedback and maintain communication with Merchandising Team;
- Ensure all customer service and follow-up service requirements including, customer complaints, refunds, credits and repairs are handled to the customer’s satisfaction in a most urgent and timely manner;
- Enforce all company standards, policies and procedures and ensure full and complete compliance by all team members;
- Identify any behavioural, disciplinary, or possible security issues and alert the GM-(Sales & Operations) and HR team where required;
- Adhere to a strict security practice to maintain adequate protection of stock, takings and all other company assets;
- Ensure training is attended by your immediate reports when required and recommend any training requirements through your line manager;
- Supervise the punctual opening of each location and ensure that staff are ready for work. Close each store following the security procedures;
- Participate in staff morale boosting activities and maintain a positive working relationship with other staff members to ensure they feel they are treated as company "assets”;
- Be aware of competitor activity, including other duty free outlets and domestic stores, and put forward suggestions on ways to better grow our business;
- Be aware of Airport security emergency and health and safety procedures;
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required;
- Be personally presented in accordance with Lotte Duty Free Dress Code Policy at all times and ensure all team members are the same.

**YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES WILL BE**:

- To ensure achievement of sales and GP target on daily and weekly basis;
- Achieve key KPIs eg. Conversion, IPD, ATV and PSR;
- Ensure team members consistently exceed Lotte standards and expectations as well as their individual sales targets and goals;
- Communicate and have the team understand the strategies to achieve sales;
- Knowing and understanding the products across all categories identifying top and bottom lines;
- Achieving business efficiency with minimising business expenses and maximising salary investment;
- Maintain a very high standard of store and product presentation as per Lotte guidelines on daily basis;
- Ensure overall accurate custom compliance, stock management and security by following Lotte best business practise and security procedures;
- Have current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.

**WHO ARE YOU?**

**_ Essential:_**
- Demonstrable successful track record in fast paced retail operations with at least 2 years in a managerial position in a multi-million turnover business.
- Good business sense with good understanding of the business dynamics
- Experience of coaching/training people
- Ability to motivate all staff, at all levels of performance
- Highly skilled team leader who leads from the front
- Ability to be a role model for staff
- Experience of delivering exceptional customer service
- Strong knowledge/experience of retail operations
- Must be flexible with regards to working hours
- Must be proactive, hands on and have a strong sense of urgency
- Ability to manage various competing priorities and ability to assess and resolve complex problems
- Demonstrated ability to work well and effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work independently when required
- Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication
- Willing to undertake and pass the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) online course
