With the recent appointment of a new Chief Human Resources Officer & Head of HR Operations, the business is looking to appoint a Payroll Manager who can review, refine existing payroll processes & in partnership with key colleagues to select new systems architecture for HRIS & support the upgrade the existing payroll system.
Due to the complex structure of this regulatory environment, it is essential that you have exposure to navigating change in governmental or educational institution.
**The Role**
- Delivery of Fortnightly Payroll for over 3,000 employees across three business entities
- Provide mentorship & support to two Operational Team Leaders, two Senior Payroll Officers, a Superannuation specialist, and a Payroll Analyst.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, such as HR & Finance
- Act as Payroll SME & Business Partner to employees and key personnel across the organisation
- Provide advice around award & EA interpretation, payroll governance, taxation & super legislation
- The ability to troubleshoot & reconfigure noncompliance issues
- Drive process systems improvement & process optimisation projects
- Deep knowledge of current landscape of available Payroll & HRIS systems.
- Exemplary verbal & written communication skills
This role represents an opportunity to drive forward an inclusive & high performing team that is focused on the enhancement of the employee experience, from systems utilisation & high standards of customer service.
The team currently operate a hybrid model, where the team is able to work from home two days per week.
