**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Position Summary
Catholic College Wodonga has on offer a traineeship providing support to teaching staff in the
implementation and execution of the College’s ICT and Digital Technology Programs throughout 2024.
Applicants must have a high level of verbal and written communication and understand the importance
of planning and administration. High levels of organisation and the ability to self-manage are essential
for success in this role. The successful applicant will complete a Certificate III in Information
Technology through AFL Sports Ready.
The ICT Trainee will work as part of the IT team at the College to support students and staff with their
IT needs. They will also assist, where necessary and appropriate in the Digital Technologies and
Systems spaces to assist with the smooth running and operation of digital equipment. The role is
responsible for providing support and assisting technology related challenges at the college.
The role will expose the applicant to many current and emerging technologies, and their management:

- Windows Server Administration
- Windows and Apple Management
- Networking concepts
- Microsoft 365 Enterprise Applications
- Virtualisation and Cloud Computing

Child Safety Be familiar with and comply with the school’s child-safe policy and code of
conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety.
- Assist in the provision of a child-safe environment for all students.
- Demonstrate duty of care to students in relation to their physical and

mental wellbeing

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Accountabilities The ICT Trainee works closely with the ICT Services Leader in ensuring all
technology at the College is operating to a high standard which aids
learning and teaching. The ICT Trainee should understand and comply with
privacy and security policies, procedures, and expectations.

Help Desk
- Log and provide resolutions to helpdesk issues.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the IT Team and Leader
- Provide phone and remote support to all staff and students.
- Ensure the helpdesk space is clean and non-hazardous.
- Troubleshoot software issues, user passwords, network and printer

issues.
- Assist parents with PAM access and troubleshoot parent account

details via phone.
- Provide students and staff a timeframe when jobs will be

completed.
Device and Equipment Support
- Help to prepare new devices for staff and students.
- Assist with yearly device roll outs.
- Help to assign users to devices.
- Maintain college loan devices.
- Maintain a surplus of external accessories (Chargers, styluses,

laptop cases)
- Assist in coordinating device and technology repairs.
- Assist with logging warranty and accidental damage claims.
- Liaise with our repair provider to ensure all repairs are completed in

a timely manner.
- Organise and distribute repaired devices.
- Maintain Audio Visual equipment (Digital Displays) including in

preparation for assemblies and whole College events.
- Check for damage to audio visual equipment and report to ICT

Manager
Staff and Classroom Support
- Provide assistance, when necessary, to the digital technology staff

and students with regard to maintaining equipment and resolving
technical issues
- Provide assistance, when necessary, to the Systems staff with

regard to maintaining equipment and resolving technical issues.

Qualification

- Organise and manage completion of academic work that is aligned to the role

within the given time frame. This may occur during:

- Selected times during school hours
- Additional times out or school hours
- Regular online or face to face supervisor meetings
- Attend a Trainee Development Program Camp
