What is the role?

Applications are sought from suitably qualified applicants wishing to be considered for the role of Team Member - AFP Reserve & Former Member Team.

As a Team Member in the AFP Reserve and Former Members team, you will be responsible for enhancing a capability within the AFP to create pathways that keep our former members connected with our existing workforce by recognising service, promoting wellbeing and improving connectivity.

You will be responsible for creating, maintaining and improving governance framework that supports organisational objectives. You will work closely with the Team Leader to develop training and information packages to the wider organisation to increase awareness and understanding of AFP Reserve and Former Members.

To be a successful Team Member, you will have strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely. The development of effective working relationships will be important to you. You will have strong judgement and comprehensive ability to determine priorities, and contribute to strategic thinking by displaying logic in recommending an option or making a decision. As a problem solver you will have excellent attention to detail and take personal responsibility for achieving the objectives of the team, and model the AFP Values. You will have relevant experience and knowledge of end to end recruitment processes, and experience in Human Resources. You will have strong judgement and comprehensive ability to determine priorities.

You will also be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.

What will you do?

**Your duties will include**:
Administering end-to-end recruitment and financial actions for the AFP Reserve;
Providing high level advice and support to business areas within the AFP on engaging Reserves;
Providing advice on services available to members during and post separation from the AFP;
Developing, maintaining and enhancing relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
Leading the development of policies, strategies, and educational programs;
Leading, guiding and mentoring team members to ensure they have the support, skills and capability required to meet objectives; and
Collecting data and analysing metrics to identify efficiencies and improvement.
Essential Requirements
A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Experience working in Human Resources/Recruitment.
Desirable Requirements

The following skills and/or experience would be highly regarded:
Experience using an online recruitment/payroll systems, will be highly regarded;
Possession of, or working towards, a qualification in Human Resources will be highly regarded;
Proven ability and desire to work in a fast paced, adaptive environment that responds to and supports an agile operational workforce; and
Demonstrated ability in development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Governance documents.
