Melbourne, Australia L'Oreal Full time

In this role, you will be reporting to the DC manager and be responsible for overseeing the daily despatch operations in compliance with L’Oréal standards as well as managing the despatch team.

**ABOUT THE JOB**
- Manage all aspects of despatch operations, from daily tasks to administrative duties. Ensure timely completion, adherence to deadlines and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams, including Operations, Customer Care, and Key Accounts, to ensure alignment and efficiency.
- Cultivate strong relationships with external carriers to optimize transportation activities and ensure smooth deliveries.
- Conduct Monthly and weekly business reviews with transport providers to manage performance and drive continuous improvements.
- Analyse and report on monthly transport performance. Risk management and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Monitor truck loading to ensure accurate fulfillment of booked deliveries. Labour Management
- Foster a positive and supportive team environment, providing mentorship and training to develop team members.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Prior despatch and/or logistics experience
- Prior supplier management experience desirable
- Strong leadership skills and ability to relate to people at all levels
- Self-driven, proactive with a can-do attitude and problem solving skills
- Ability to prioritise, multitask in a fast-paced environment and a high attention to detail
- Proven ability to engage, motivate and lead teams
- Strong data analytic ability and knowledge of warehousing processes and DC operations
- Managing a team including workflow allocation and training of staff.
- Flexible and adaptable, able to adapt to continuous and rapid changes in business requirements or activity.
- A passion for managing team dynamics with solid planning and organisational skills
- Commitment to Safety, OH&S policies and procedures
- Knowledge of dangerous goods transportation desirable but not essential
