**Salary range**: $70,278 per annum + 12.5% superannuation.

**About the role**:
The Team Leader Parks contributes to the success of the City by leading crews in the horticultural maintenance of a range of high-profile parks, reserves, and streetscapes within the City of Hobart whilst continually monitoring, reviewing, and improving horticultural practices and work programs.

Role accountabilities include:

- Providing leadership and direction within the parks and reserves operations unit.
- Work programs related to the Parks and Reserves central teams.
- Development of the annual programs for the Parks and reserves unit.
- Providing a high level customer service and advice to ratepayers, community representatives.
- Implementing the Council’s WHS Management System ensuring Safety is forefront of all we do.

**About you**:

- Certificate III in Horticulture or a related field coupled with demonstrated knowledge and experience in the procedures, practices, and processes used in the maintenance parks, reserves, and streetscapes.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills is required as well as the ability to plan day to day operations in advance and develop achievable and cost-effective work programs.
- You will also have proven experience in the supervision and leadership of horticultural teams.
