More than just a childcare centre, our goal is to ensure that we are hiring qualified and dedicated Teachers and Educators to join our fantastic team. We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic **Pod Manager** to work at our centre in **Shellharbour, NSW**. This is a newly created role and will be an exciting opportunity for an experienced Room Leader to step up in an operational leadership position.
**About the Position**
As a Pod Manager, you are expected to be highly motivated and experienced to work as an active float supervisor in your respective area to provide high-quality early childhood education and care to children. You are expected to be an active Leader and provide leadership and direction for all Room Leaders and Centre Educators where possible.
**As a Pod Manager, your core responsibilities will include the following**:
- Providing support and leadership to the Room Leaders in your respective areas.
- Working closely with the Program Manager/Educational Leader to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of quality improvement plans.
- Identify the training and development needs of the Room Leaders and work with the Program Manager/Educational Leader to implement relevant training programs.
- Ensure that all documentation and records are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Developing strong relationships with children and families at the service.
- Providing support to the Program Manager/Educational Leader which may be assigned from time to time.
**What we are looking for**:
- A completed Diploma or Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent).
- Ideally at least 3 years in a leadership position.
- High level of understanding of the National Quality Standard and National Framework and working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Adequate knowledge of stages of physical, emotional, cognitive, social, and cultural development of children as well as the health, hygiene and nutrition needs of children.
- Demonstrated ability in leading and mentoring a team of staff and working in partnerships with families.
- Professional level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Cleared Employee Working with Children’s Check (WWCC).
- Current Child Protection, First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate.
