**About the Role**:
**Duties**:
**Teaching**:

- Develop, maintain and evaluate student learning programs, projects and associated materials.
- **Assessment**:

- Conduct required pre-training assessment reviews and assessment requirements connected to contract delivery for the program/s.
- **Industry Engagement**:

- Participate in the marketing and promotion of the courses by liaise with industry contacts, networks and learning communities.
- **Quality and Compliance**:

- Assist in the development and maintenance of quality assurance processes in relation to program and course administration, design, delivery assessment and evaluation of training materials.
- **Vocational and Industry Currency**:

- Identify, create and participate in professional development relevant to teaching and the maintenance of vocational currency.

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- Experience delivering TAE training package and relevant industry experience.
- TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or it’s successor AND the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40122 or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) including Design and Develop Assessment Tools (TAEASS502) and Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills (TAELLLN4111) or (TAELLN401A).
- Experience working in Secondary Schools.
- A thorough knowledge of current industry practices and procedures with a demonstrated ability to
initiate and maintain liaisons within the TAE and secondary education Industry.
- Ability to take a lead role in the effective delivery of TAE courses.
- Ability to teach and facilitate delivery of specialist TAE and related courses to groups which may have a diverse range of abilities, backgrounds and readiness.
- Ability to use a variety of teaching modes and materials including flexible and industry-based delivery.
- A thorough knowledge of current industry practices and procedures with a demonstrated ability to initiate and maintain liaisons within the VET sector.
- Ability to co-operate in a team environment and, where necessary, work effectively with minimum supervision.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to Occupational Health and Safety, Anti-Discrimination,
- Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement.
- A current Working With Children Check Card (Employee) - mandatory.
- Current national Police check - mandatory.
- Knowledge of current issues in vocational education and training particularly as they relate to the areas taught within the school - desirable.
