Warrah is a disability services provider, based in North West Sydney. Inspired by the philosophy of Rudolf Steiner, Warrah has been offering quality supports and services for adults and children living with disability for over 50 years. Warrah is a vibrant community, enriching the lives of individuals through our broad range of services, which include Supported Independent Living (SIL), Community Support Services (CSS) and Warrah Specialist School. We also have a certified Biodynamic Farm and Farm Shop.

The Community Support Service Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations of one or more day services, ensuring the provision of high-quality, person-centred support to people with disabilities.

**Skills and Experience**
- Minimum 2 yrs. experience working with adults with intellectual disability.
- Tertiary qualifications minimum Certificate IV in Community Services, Disabilities or related.
- Able to engage empathically with people with disabilities, including those with profound intellectual disabilities.
- Incorporating the principles of practice leadership to ensure person centred practices are upheld in delivering high quality services.
- Developing and implementing activities that support participants to develop and maintain daily living skills that support community engagement.
- Working with the local community to establish a positive connection for people with disability and promoting their capacity to be contributing and valued members of society.
- Providing support, coaching and guidance to frontline support workers.
- Bing a positive member of the Community Support Service leadership team.
- Ensuring the ongoing operational needs of the program(s) are met by developing high quality activities that meet the needs and choices of participants and operating within financial delegations and the NDIS compliance framework.
- Contributing to the planning and development of Community Support Services and to Warrah.
- Working within and modelling a framework of continuous improvement.
- Ensuring a safe environment for both participants and staff.
- Well organised, with good time management skills.
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills including written, spoken & listening.
- Well-developed ability to problem-solve and implement practical solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of current WHS practices and understanding of risk management in day services.
- Current driver’s licence, First Aid Certificate with CPR, NDISWC and WWCC are required.
