About you

The theatre floor coordinator is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment and is a key contributor to the day to day running of the operating theatre in close consultation with the Theatre Manger.

Key Responsibilities

Manages and coordinates clinical practice, human and fiscal resources along with strategies that will enhance the development and promotion of the specialties in line with the strategic direction and business objectives of the organisation. The emphasis is on proven management and leadership skills and the ability to facilitate the implementation of new initiatives as identified within the nursing division’s strategic plan

Ensure rostering is completed and published with in Nursing EBA timeframe

Coordination and allocation of staff on a weekly and daily basis to ensure appropriate nursing skill mix maintained

Attend relevant Organisational meetings

Participate in quality activity initiative as required

Be a clinical leader in a standard as per NSQHS standards

What you bring

Minimum of 5 years experience as a Theatre Nurse

Previous and demonstrated experience in a leadership role - with relevant theatre focus and experience

Ability to communicate and demonstrate leadership qualities in-line with Calvary Values

AHPRA Registration - as a registered Nurse

Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an operating theatre

Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity

Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team

Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills

A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
