**The Parklife Metro Consortium is working on an exciting new metro rail infrastructure project in Greater Western Sydney.**

This city shaping project, which will be delivered under a Public Private Partnership, will provide a major economic stimulus for Western Sydney.

WeBuild as a D&C Contractor member, will be responsible for the successful delivery of the design and construction elements of the project, and we are currently looking to appoint an experienced Drafter.

**Key responsibilities**:
As a Drafter, you will be responsible for ensuring the conformity of all activities with company and project standards, procedures and policies and with laws, regulations and industry standards. You may be responsible for:

- Ensuring all quality and environmental aspects of the project are addressed to maintain effective operation and project delivery
- Ensuring non-conformances are recorded and corrective actions initiated as soon as practically possible
- Providing support on planning the use of materials, resources, components or systems within the project, and construction practices and problems to ensure project success, value for money and best practice are achieved
- Ensuring the delegated scope of works meet or exceed the required performance targets in relation to time, cost and quality
- Assisting with preparing project status reports and change orders
- Managing and maintaining effective liaison and communication with all levels of project management and construction team on all matters relating to the construction activities

**Key requirements for the role**:

- Relevant Tertiary Education
- Preferable 5 years’ experience in a construction/engineering environment
- In depth knowledge of AutoCAD drafting software
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others
- Demonstrated ability to establish and steward overall delivery work plans
- Competent in planning and organising work schedules
- Working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of same
