**About Your Role**:
Provide timely and accurate IR advice to operational leaders and the Human Resources (HR) team, lead enterprise bargaining processes and manage and maintain effective relationships with third party stakeholders. There are no direct reports for this role.
- Develop, implement, and advise stakeholders on the organisation's IR policies and strategies, along with employment/industrial regulations, fostering continuous improvement, stability, and profitability.
- Act as an advocate and representative for Downer in dealings with the Fair Work Commission and other relevant tribunals and authorities.
- Drive and oversee all employee relations (ER) initiatives within the designated region or work area.
- Offer expert guidance to internal client groups, including HR, key business stakeholders, and managers, ensuring informed decision-making regarding all ER aspects.
- Lead enterprise agreement negotiations with employees and unions to safeguard the organisation's interests.
- Implement approved IR/ER policies and programs, ensuring business practices consistently comply with relevant standards, legislation, and company policies and processes.

**About You**:

- Tertiary qualification in business, law, HR, IR or relevant field.
- 5+ years IR experience in mining, oil and gas, construction, manufacturing or related industry would be highly regarded.
- Ability to build stakeholder relationships quickly and confidently in a fast-paced complex project-based environment.
- Proficient knowledge of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) & experience managing complex enterprise agreement negotiations.
- Established relationships in the resources industry
- Proven ability to understand and interpret industrial instruments, legislative obligations, contracts of employment, company policies and associated documents.
