The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Defence Aviation Safety Regulation (DASR) Part 145 Quality Manager. In this role, you will be an integral part of the Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) Quality Operations Team and will lead and support our Program Quality Specialists.

**Responsibilities**:
**Key responsibilities of this role include the following**:

- Lead and drive a culture First Time Quality (FTQ) and continuous improvement across BDA.
- In collaboration with the Responsible Manager, maintain currency and applicability of the BDA Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), including the collation, review and submission of formal amendments to the Authority.
- Responsible to the BDA Accountable Manager and Senior Quality Manager providing a quality feedback reporting loop to ensure proper and timely corrective action is taken in response to any audit actions.
- Ensure the Part 145 Maintenance Management System (MMS) is aligned and compliant to the BDA Quality Management System (QMS) and continues to comply with DASR requirements, whilst also meeting the needs of the business.
- Ensure appropriate management of the issue or withdrawal of approval of certifying and support staff and maintenance of the register of personnel qualifications and terms of inspection authorisation.
- Ensure appropriate assessment of external specialist services required to be used by the Company as well as ensure appropriate management and conduct of audits per the audit schedule under the QMS.
- Coordinate reporting and investigation of maintenance incident or error identified during or post maintenance.
- Motivate, develop and coach team members to enhance employee performance through expansion of skills and capabilities and provide quality integration as appropriate across Part 145 programs.
- Manage QM delegations within the BDA Part 145 ensuring adequate Quality System specialists across the Part 145 are trained and capable of conducting their required duties.
- Manage relationships within the BDA Quality team and key stakeholders to manage resources appropriately ensuring deliverables and timelines are met.

Experience Qualifications
- 5+ years of aviation experience including: Two years' experience as staff of DASA or an organisation holding a maintenance approval under DASR, CASA, EMAR, EASA or other acceptable authority and three years' experience in aviation quality management.
- Diploma in Quality Auditing (delivered by an Australian registered training organisation or other comparable overseas qualification acceptable to the NMAA).
- Hands-on mentality with the ability to proactively and independently resolve issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to effectively engage, communicate with and influence Senior and Executive level stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and time manage in a high pressure environment.
- Be an Australian Citizenship to ensure you have the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Department of Defence clearance up to SECRET level.
