We are currently hiring Mental Health Support Workers for the D360 Squad in Melbourne If you have relevant education, experience and/or have personal lived experience in Mental Health, this could be a great opportunity for you.

Your role is more than just about providing support. Your role is not only to be caring and supportive, but to empower the lives of your participants. You must be able to take a step back and promote their independence and encourage them to feel included within their community.

We are looking for staff who can think outside the square, people who have hobbies and life experiences that can assist our participants in their daily lives. This includes, but is not limited to:

- Community Participation, assisting with social outings and transport
- Assistance with daily life tasks, personal care needs
- Provide support in a manner that is consistent and encourages and motivates our Participants to meet their goals and independent skills building, through person centred practices.
- Maintain positive working relationships with other team members, Participants, families, and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills
- Regular recording of shift notes, reporting and Support plans, identifying areas of improvement and recognising steps taken towards achieving goals.
- Portray positive values and attitudes in line with those of D360

- Has the ability to provide high quality support that addresses participant needs as articulated in their plans and enhances their independence, abilities, inclusion, community participation and quality of life.
- Can respect the personal preferences of participants in meeting their needs and encourage individual growth and development.
- Can work in conjunction with other Support Workers and our management team to perform duties as directed.
- Has relevant education or experience in the disability or mental health field and/or a lived experience with mental health.

Qualifications & experience:

- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- NDIS Worker Induction Module Certificate
- COVID-19 Infection Control Certificate
- Drivers Licence (without restrictions)
- Comprehensive car insurance
- First Aid & CPR Certificates
- Manual Handling Certificate
- Certificate IV in Disability/Mental Health or qualification in relevant field is desirable but not required
