We are seeking a fixed term Metallurgist to join our Hydrometallurgy team in Brisbane. In this role you will work with the Albion Process and associated hydromet technologies through studies, projects and commissionings across multiple commodities as well supporting Glencore operations. This position directly reports to the Principal Metallurgist - Hydrometallurgy. This is a rare opportunity to join a small vibrant team introducing industry-changing technology.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Technology development in primary production and recycling
- On-site commissioning of our technologies
- World-wide business development and technology sales
- Supervision of testwork programs at both domestic and overseas locations
- Process, circuit and plant design from mine through to final product
- Project delivery from inception through to execution phase
- Site support at Australian and international locations

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Good interpersonal skills to communicate technical and commercial issues with clients
- Passion and tenacity to make a difference in the industry
- Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Mineral Processing
- At least five years’ experience with a strong background in hydrometallurgy
- Experience in both operations and hydrometallurgy circuit design - would be viewed favourably, particularly in the use of mass and energy balance software
- Ability to travel for the role if required
