**The Company**

Our Client, NSW Farmers is an advocacy group for local farmers in NSW. They are a grassroots association being the voice of farmers with a primary purpose to listen, engage, provide value, and act on their behalf to drive and deliver meaningful project outcomes that directly benefit farmers. They are independent and champion the rights of farmers to external organisations including the Government.

They are seeking to appoint the new role of
**Head of Membership & Growth **to strategically design, develop and implement a segmented commercial/membership go-to-market model. The focus of this role will be to develop and implement innovative membership and commercial revenue growth strategies, working closely with the CEO, other members of the Association’s leadership team, Elected representatives and external partners achieve growth and member engagement goals. This is a pivotal role for NSW Farmer’s future revenues.

**The Role**

Through effective people leadership you will:

- achieving growth targets aligned with NSW Farmers Strategic Plan
- be highly engaged and communicative with members and partners
- design and deliver insight-driven strategies to better engage membership, to grow members and connections and valuable commercial partnerships.
- utilise a modern member engagement management system (ems) and campaign delivery platforms to underpin and evolve growth strategies
- analyse potential new and targeted membership across NSW
- establish and implement regional commercial partner activities
- guide and direct membership retention strategies
- increase the profile of NSW Farmers through active industry engagement (field days, conferences, education, customer service, member communication, and committee leadership)
- provide meaningful reports to management and elected leaders.

**The Person**:
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- exceptional leadership with an ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines
- direct experience building strategic engagement and partner solutions
- a hunger for new business acquisition, while maintain long term membership and partner relationships
- strong sales background ideally within agriculture dealing with farming community and government
- exceptional communication, presentation, and ‘people’ skills
- tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (Commerce, Business Agribusiness, Agriculture Economics, Marketing, Sales Management)
- experience working in a membership business environment and exposure to agriculture will be seen as ideal
