DB Schenker is a globally integrated Transport and Logistics company providing international air and sea freight forwarding services together with national logistics solutions across Australia and around the globe.

**The Role**

We are looking for a motivated team player to join our Air Freight team as an **Airfreight Gateway Coordinator**. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that cargo within the Gateway Department is executed in a commercially effective manner in line with Schenker procedures and customer requirements. You will play a key role in our growth strategy, contributing to consol optimisation and strategic trade lane development.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure compliance with all customs and quarantine requirements
- Maintain timely communication with internal and external stakeholders including airlines, truckers, terminals, and warehouse teams
- Monitor airport retrieval carrier, warehouse and HUB administration performance and report back on all performance matters relating to delay, loss or damage in transit or theft
- Ensure that milestones are regularly updated in operating systems to support optimum visibility for internal and external customers

**The successful applicant will have**:

- 2+ years of freight forwarding experience with an understanding of import and export
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal, and the ability to maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
- The ability to be a team-player and contribute to department objectives
- A valid drivers license and ability to work flexible hours in order to meet the customer's fluctuating work requirements
