**About the role**

We have a great permanent full-time opportunity for a Pricing Analyst/ Specialist to join us in our Insurance Pricing team.

The primary purpose of this important role is to support and improve customer remediation process around insurance premiums, as well as to develop, influence, and execute on pricing strategies and decisions across RACQ and partner portfolios to deliver profitability, growth, and sustainability.

**Key Responsibilities**

**In the area of customer remediation**:

- Collect and analyse information about policies and premiums charged and calculate the refunds.
- Establish new or improve current processes addressing customer remediation.
- Support the business in root-cause analysis and risk mitigation.

**In the area of insurance pricing**:

- Gather, structure, and analyse internal and external data using a broad range of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytics technologies.
- Develop and understand predictive statistical models such as technical cost, premium emulation, competitor price, retention, and quote conversion models.
- Use specialist knowledge to enhance modelling, analysis, monitoring and/or reporting components of the pricing process.
- Collate predictive model outcomes and actual data to perform pricing analyses that have a complete view of cost, RACQ price, competitive position, and demand.
- Contribute to profitable growth of the portfolios by pricing risks accurately and ensuring anti-selection is avoided.
- Generate clear and concise documentation for repeatable processes.

**About You**
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in math, actuarial science, business, or related discipline.
- Relevant experience, ideally within General insurance industry.
- Advanced analytical modelling skills in relevant languages (SAS,
- SQL, R, Python).
- Highly developed experience and expertise in the design, development, testing, deployment, and implementation of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytic solutions using a broad range of technologies.
- Able to report and able to explain the results of complex analysis to wide range of stakeholders.
