**Job Description**:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team at SGS, based in **Malaga, WA** office. As a **Trainee** Radiation Consultant you will meet our customers’ expectations by performing machining, repairs, refurbishments and testing of industrial type assets, mainly industrial radiation gauges. All training will be provided to the successful applicant.

Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:

- Conduct Training Services
- Transport of Radioactive Material
- Inspection of Survey Monitoring Equipment prior to calibration
- Fitting, repairs and refurbishments to various industrial fixed radiation gauges
- Repair and conduct final reporting and assembly checklists.
- Carry out repairs as per engineering drawing and/or instruction.
- Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure complianance to specifications using precision instruments.
- Understand and comply with all safety measures required in operation of machines, standard operating procedures and safe work practices
- Forklift operation
- Completion of product and inspection documentation in accordance with our corporate policies.
- Assistance if required in performing maintenance and general hand duties.

**Qualifications**:

- Current and valid Driver’s Licence
- Current and valid Forklift Licence (desirable but not essential)
- Experience in industrial refurbishment (desirable but not essential)
- Workshop experience (desirable)
- Some site work will be required
