We have a vacancy for an Apprentice Locksmith in Avoca Beach, Central Coast NSW for an immediate start. Male and female applicants are welcome.

We offer a range of security products and locksmith services including design and implementation of domestic & commercial restricted master key systems, electronic digital access control, wireless locks and security alarms and deal with major brands and suppliers with access to over 120,000 lines of quality hardware. We supply the world’s best door handles, cabinet handles, hinges, pivots, and other architectural hardware and security systems.

**THE ROLE**
- This position is a 4 year commitment and upon completion you will be a trade qualified Locksmith.
- At the end of your apprenticeship you will be able to do all of the following:

- Gain access to various locks
- Repair, replace or adjust damaged or defective components of doors and
- windows, including door closers, hinges and electronic release mechanisms
- Change mechanical and electronic key codes
- Design, manufacture, install and manage restricted master key systems
- Determine customer security requirements and assess risks through
- discussion and on-site inspection
- Recommend appropriate security and locking systems such as safes, door
- and window locks
- Install, replace and maintain locking systems
- Repair jammed, worn or damaged locks by manipulating, dismantling,
- repairing or replacing defective parts
- Sell locks, safes and associated hardware
- Cut new or duplicate keys for locks and other security systems and devices
- Keep records of specifications of installed locking systems.

**KEY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS**
- Must be living in Australia (the position is on the Central Coast NSW)
- Fit and healthy
- Good command of written English
- Basic maths skills
- Able to converse clearly with clients and colleagues
- An aptitude for hands-on trade type work
- Able to obtain a police check
- Able to obtain a Working With Children’s Check
