**About the Role**
The Distributed Practice Relationship Coordinator is a crucial member of our team, acting as a vital link between our distributed clinical practices and the regulatory landscape of health and safety for the delivery of work-integrated learning placements for students enrolled in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program.

The position will be responsible for establishing positive relationships with distributed clinical partners while ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and accreditation standards. Utilising their understanding of internal capabilities and regulatory requirements, the coordinator will formulate solutions that generate positive outcomes for both the School and the distributed clinical practices.

This position involves developing frameworks, protocols and resources aimed at monitoring Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) compliance at our distributed practice sites, allowing proactive identification and management of strategic and operational risks in clinical education programs.

The incumbent will have the opportunity to work closely and collaboratively with a range of staff across the Melbourne Veterinary School that support our staff and students, as well as key contacts at distributed practice sites.

Your responsibilities will include:

- **Relationship Management**: Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with distributed clinical practices, including veterinary medical healthcare providers, and related stakeholders.
- **Compliance Oversight**: Stay current with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, as well as industry-specific standards and national/international accreditation standards. Assist with conducting audits of distributed clinical sites to ensure full compliance with these requirements and provide recommendations and support to practice managers to enhance their health and safety compliance with accreditation standards.
- **Risk Assessment**: In conjunction with OHS team, and liaising with academic staff as required, perform comprehensive risk assessments and audits of distributed clinical practices.
- **Training and Education**: Assist in the development and delivery of training programs to educate distribute practice staff on compliance requirements, safety protocols, and best practices.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, incidents, and corrective actions. Generate regular reports for senior management, regulatory and accreditation agencies as required.

**Who We Are Looking For**
You are an exceptional communicator, with strong relationship-building skills and the ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders. You exhibit an analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities, essential for assessing compliance risks, developing strategies, and adapting to evolving regulations and industry standards. Additionally, you will have an understanding of project management principles, and knowledge of health and safety regulations at local, state and federal level.

You will also have:

- A relevant tertiary degree with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and to develop strong and productive relationships with diverse stakeholders, with evidence of critical thinking, influencing skills and negotiating to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities to assess compliance risks, develop strategies, and adapt to evolving regulations and industry standards.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to clearly present complex or technical information
- Project management skills to oversee compliance initiatives effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
