**About the Role**
Due to continued growth and success we have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join the Procurement & Supply Chain team based predominantly at our Mount Waverley office.
Reporting to the Procurement Category Lead the purpose of this role is to ensure that Procurement delivers the best value to key stakeholders as well as assist in the development of the overall Category strategy and roadmap. The role requires a strong customer-focused culture that influences a positive business partnering approach.
As part of the development of a revamped Procurement function you will have the opportunity to influence outcomes and assist in establishing foundational capability and build function credibility with stakeholders. You will assist in the strategic sourcing function across a portfolio of categories, including the development and implementation of strategic and tactical sourcing and category management predominantly within the Capex / MRO, Facilities Maintenance domain.
**What your day to day looks like**:
- Develop an understanding of the business environment in which TTI operates, understands its goals and how Procurement activities help achieve organisational outcomes
- Support RFx process and establish contract development with vendors.
- Assist in the development and implementation of category and procurement plans and initiatives for sub-categories, based on agreed customer needs and priorities that maximise value. Experience in Capex / MRO, Facilities Maintenance domain is essential.
- Ensure the business has timely supply of goods and services by sourcing a variety of items as required and provide support on all aspects of procurement activities that may be required to support the wider team
- Track and report on orders and pricing and assist with month end reporting
- Assist in the proactive management of supplier performance scorecards, collaborating across the business
- Engage and influence negotiations with vendors and customers to deliver positive, sustainable relationships through a business partnering approach.
- Assess current processes and propose alternate ways to engage in a more efficient and optimised ways
- Working with end users and other teams to support on GR (goods received) and IR related matters
**About You**
**Ideally you will have a proven background in a similar Procurement role and the following skills/attributes**:
- Proven experience working in procurement, purchasing, sourcing and negotiation
- Work experience and knowledge of general procurement services and practices across Capex/MRO(maintenance, repair and operations) and Facilities Maintenance categories is required.
- Sound communication and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders, vendors, and clients alike
- The ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment and accurately manage multiple projects
- Exhibit relationship management and conflict management capabilities to guide the company-vendor relationship
- Proven ability in managing and prioritizing multiple projects with competing timelines
- SAP experience is preferred, intermediate Microsoft Office required.
