BB Recruitment is a leading healthcare provider, who are seeking a dedicated Pathology Collector to join our dynamic team. As a Pathology Collector, you will play a crucial role in the accurate and efficient collection of specimens for diagnostic testing, contributing to the overall well-being of our patients.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Specimen Collection**: Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood, urine, and other specimens from patients in a safe and professional manner.

**Patient Interaction**: Establish and maintain positive interactions with patients to ensure a comfortable and informed specimen collection process.

**Documentation**: Accurately label, record, and document collected specimens, ensuring proper sample identification and integrity throughout the collection process.

**Quality Assurance**: Adhere to established protocols and standards for specimen collection to maintain the highest level of quality and accuracy in diagnostic testing.

**Safety Compliance**: Follow infection control and safety guidelines to ensure a secure and hygienic working environment for both patients and staff.

**Equipment Maintenance**: Perform routine maintenance on collection equipment and ensure that all tools are in proper working condition.

**Communication**: Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate delivery of specimens for analysis.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in phlebotomy or pathology collection
- Proven experience as a Pathology Collector or Phlebotomist in a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients.
- Knowledge of safety and infection control procedures.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with composure and professionalism.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of specimen integrity.
