Quality Assurance Lead

We require the immediate start of a Quality Assurance Lead to join our team in Geelong on a permanent full time basis.

**About the Role**:
This opportunity is for experienced **QA Lead** to join our team based in Geelong, Victoria. In this role, you will monitor and report on the team’s compliance with the project quality plan, nominated specifications and field quality control procedures. You will coordinate and carry out inspections as required by the Inspection and / or Test plans as well as providing technical quality support to the maintenance and project teams.
**About You**
- As a key member of the team, your leadership skills will ensure that all work meets the standards in relation to safety, quality, schedules, cost and delivers to project milestones.
**You will ideally have the following**:
- Degree or Diploma in a related engineering discipline with post-graduate or similar studies in quality management and/or business improvement techniques.
- Certificate 10 - AS1796 (mandatory)
- Welding Supervisor -AS2214 (desirable)
- Multi-disciplinary experience in heavy engineering, ideally including process industries, petro-chemical and/or mining in both production and field based roles.
- Work background that includes working in organisations involved in construction or similar with preferred experience in a Design-for-Construction environment.
- Auditing, technical writing, team facilitation, development and delivery of training courses.
- Significant experience managing and leading teams.
- An excellent understanding of Project Communications, Documentation and Quality Systems.
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring and developing engineers and other technical staff.
- Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast paced environment with multiple and competing demands
- Computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products in particular Word, Excel and Outlook
