**About The Role**:
Our Power and Energy business has a permanent opportunity for an experienced Cost Controller to join our team at the Milton office (Brisbane) or North Ryde office (Sydney). Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will implement and manage the project control and costing systems, including information systems, ensuring key performance indicators are met. The role will include delivering timely cost reporting for actuals against budget, as well as commitments and forecasting to completion.

**Duties will include, but not be limited to**:
Assist in the daily administrative, financial, cost engineering, and commercial activities of the allocated Downer Projects.

Assist with the reporting requirements in the project delivery module of Candy, head contract reporting, subcontract management,

**General office support**: accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement

Ensuring compliance with Downers policies and procedures, stakeholder requirements and statutory regulations.

**About You**:
**An experienced Cost Controller**: within the construction industry and use of Candy system advantageous

Qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Accounting, Engineering or similar.

Solid experience forecasting and interpreting cost data with the ability to analyse and interpret using Earned Value techniques

Excellent written and verbal communication with demonstrated experience reporting to senior decision makers

A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to inform, negotiate and influence at all levels

Analytical, able to work within tight timeframes and team focused
