We are expanding our team and looking for a Reservations Manager to look after all aspects of the reservations process. This is a hands on role where the successful applicant will work with the existing team to exceed our guests expectations.

Located in the heart of vibrant Moonee Ponds the hotel consists of 97 apartment style rooms, small event space and large bar/restaurant.

This role is suited to someone currently working in Front Office/Reception/Reservations looking for a more diverse role, seeking flexible work hours to suit their current circumstances, in a boutique hotel with the opportunity to learn new skills.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Manage and lead the reservations department, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality service and maximum productivity.
- Handle escalated customer enquiries and resolve any reservations-related issues.
- Develop and implement effective reservation strategies to optimize occupancy, revenue, and guest satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in reservations management and implement relevant improvements to enhance departmental performance.
- Train and mentor reservations team members, fostering a positive and service-oriented culture.
- Collaborate with the Front Office, Sales team and General Manager to implement promotional strategies.
- Manage group reservations.
- Implement pricing strategies to optimise revenue growth, taking into consideration market conditions and external competition.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies and market demands.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date reservation records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure effective communication between other departments to enhance overall guest experience.

**Talent Profile**
- Experience in a similar role in the hospitality sector, customer service or sales capacity
- Knowledge of Property Management, Customer Relations Management and Distribution systems
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Strong communication skills via phone
- Flexible in working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid working rights in Australia

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
