UExcel Medical Recruitment are seeking an Obstetrics & Gynaecology Registrar for a major South Australian hospital.

**Total Remuneration: $103,223 - $167,562 p.a**

**The Organisation**
You will be responsible for managing the care of all patients allocated to the Maternity Department. Under supervision, you will manage outpatient planned and emergency presentations, attend antenatal clinics, and manage acute and elective births in consultation with Midwives, GP Obstetricians and Consultant Obstetricians. You will also attend the IUD insertion clinic and Early Pregnancy Unit weekly for management of miscarriages and termination of pregnancies, including the opportunity to upskill with ultrasound training. As part of your role, you will attend gynaecology operating lists (six per month) and contribute to the management of post operative gynaecology ward patients.
You will hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, and be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner. Demonstrating sound knowledge and understanding of contemporary medical practice and procedures appropriate to the level of the position, you will be skilled in problem solving and decision making at both the clinical and the individual level. You will be committed to patient and relative participation in patient care, utilising your skills in professional judgement, clinical competence, negotiation and communication in a multidisciplinary setting.

**The Job**
- As the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Registrar, you will maintain a high standard of care for inpatients, ensuring accurate clinical handover at the change of daily shifts and keeping high-quality records of patient care
- The Obstetrics & Gynaecology Registrar will be responsible for the assessment and management of uncomplicated deliveries and pregnancy presentations
- You will also attend elective and emergency theatre operating sessions on a scheduled basis
- Experience the full spectrum of patient care - outpatient clinics, antenatal care, labour ward collaboration, pre-admission clinics, and impactful Accident and Emergency care

Essential Criteria:

- Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) with minimum Level 2 supervision requirements
- Minimum requirement - completed two years postgraduate or the equivalent (i.e. if an internship is counted as undergraduate component of a medical degree - this internship can be counted as one postgraduate year).
