**New Opportunity**:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer service focused Patient Billing Officer to join our Billing Team on a 6 month fixed-term full-time basis. This role supports the Patient Billing Manager by continually raising invoices, receipting monies and following up payment of accounts to ensure debtors are constantly being updated and cash flow management is maintained at an optimum level.

Other key responsibilities include:

- Coordinating and undertaking a range of tasks relating to raising, receipting and follow up with inpatient accounts
- Raising all inpatient accounts for patients who have been discharged from St Andrew's Hospital in line with current contracts
- Validating appropriate paperwork is attached to the health fund account prior to the account being sent
- Being the first point of contact for phone queries from health fund personnel regarding Hospital invoices and from patients with regards to invoices that have been sent
- Preparation of paperwork for adjustments and refunds pertaining to a patients stay

**Hours**:
This is a 6 month fixed-term full-time position working 75 hours per fortnight across Monday to Friday.

**About You**:
Other key requirements include:

- Sound organisational and time management skills;
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Sound financial literacy and numeric skills;
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team; and
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.

Exceptional computer and Microsoft office skills, is also important for success in this role.
