**About the role**:
The position will exercise a considerable degree of independence to engage in very complex problem-solving issues management. The position will exercise sound decision-making and judgement to produce high-level policy advice and operational support.

The EL 1 Program Scheduler is responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and may be required to represent and negotiate on behalf of the agency to advance the agency’s interests across a range of forums.

**Duties**:

- Working with Program Delivery Leads to maintain a program master schedule.
- Collaborating with program stakeholders to review and update dependencies and milestones in the program master schedule
- Managing the interface between various work packages to manage the program dependencies.
- Maintaining the master schedule and comparing work performed against the baseline
- Identifying activities affecting the critical path and working with relevant program stakeholders to identify corrective measures.

**Required experience/skills**:

- Reviews project performance and focuses on identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Maintains an awareness of the organisation, monitors the context in which the organisation operates and finds out about best practice approaches.
- Responds in a positive and flexible manner to change and uncertainty.
- Recognises the links between interconnected issues.
- Breaks through problems and weighs up the options to identify solutions.

**Desirable experience/skills**:

- Tertiary qualification in project management desirable, but not essential.
- Familiarity with AGILE methodology and project scheduling programs such as MS Projects or Clarizen
