About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Next Generation Ministry Leader to join our team You will be responsible to provide ministry oversight for all Children, Youth and Young Adults ministries at Ringwood Corps. Additionally, you will recruit, engage and equip new emerging leaders in youth ministry.

Reporting to the Corps Officers, this is a permanent full-time position, _(part-time options can be negotiated)_, based in Ringwood, VIC.

You will successfully
- Collaborate with Corps Officers to provide discipleship, pastoral care and leadership oversight to the Children, Youth and Young Adults ministries
- Ensure children and youth are actively and regularly encouraged to become members of TSA Ringwood, and rolls are kept up to date
- Participate in team activities, attend staff meetings when scheduled and demonstrate a supportive approach to other staff members
- Ensure new people to the Corps are invited and included in events in conjunction with other ministry volunteers and staff
- Create and maintain safe places for Children, Youth and Young Adults to attend Ringwood Corps

You will have
- Proven experience working in a ministry setting including volunteer ministry experience within a Christian faith community (Salvation Army or other denomination)
- Studies in Pastoral Care, Theology, Biblical, Ministry (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience overseeing the development of leaders in ministry
- Ability to offer prayer ministry, explain the Christian Gospel and offer effective pastoral assistance
- Demonstrated ability and desire to engage, lead and train others in youth ministry
- An appreciation of and the ability and willingness to promote and support the values and ethos of The Salvation Army
- An association of being an active member of The Salvation Army, preferably as a soldier, (highly desirable of the incumbent)
- Demonstrated sound presentation, communication and computer literacy skills
- A current and valid Working with Children's Check
- A current Driver's Licence
