**The Role**:
Maxima, and the City of Prospect, are looking for a motivated individual to undertake an Arboriculture Traineeship.

This 36-month fulltime traineeship will give you the opportunity to get your hands dirty and work outdoors. You will develop skills and knowledge in a variety of areas with hands-on experience, and paid study towards achieving a nationally recognised **Certificate III in Arboriculture**.

**Duties Include**:

- Trim and chip/mulch trees
- Tree removal
- Pest and weed control
- Undertake appropriate climbing techniques
- Use relevant machinery including chainsaws and woodchippers

**About You**:

- Enjoy working in the outdoors and working with garden tools
- Committed, reliable and hardworking
- Manage and prioritise time and tasks effectively
- Work effectively in a team with good communication skills
- Have a can-do attitude and display initiative
- Able to follow directions and work under limited supervision

**Role Requirements**:

- Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Physically fit and healthy due to manual labour work
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test
- Previous experience in gardening or similar trades (advantageous)
