If snorkelling and diving is your passion and sharing your knowledge is your desire, then join St Michael’s Grammar students as they discover the underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef the organisms that call it home, the adaptations and the threats to the environment. Each year dedicated Year 10 students accompanied by their teachers, undertake studies towards the VCE Unit 2 Biology on the Great Barrier Reef. We want an enthused person to share their knowledge during a week-long field trip and to enlighten them to what a scientist actual does in a day job.

Looking for a snorkelling supervisor with local knowledge of the Heron Island area with a Marine Biology background. This is required to provide a rich and safer experience for the students during their Great Barrier Reef trip.

If you can demonstrate that you are resourceful, and solutions oriented, with the ability to self-direct and be proactive around safety with great communication skills. Knowledge and experience about the Heron Island reef are desirable as well as snorkelling qualifications are advantageous.
