**About the role**

This is a
**casual** position, based at
**Bomaderry**, working at various council sites.

**Duties**

Reporting directly to the Biosecurity Coordinator, the focus of this position is to undertake:

- Weed spraying at Council controlled sites for scheduled weed control, vegetation management and insect control in accordance with industry standards. May undertake property inspections on public property for the purpose of identifying and regulating weeds scheduled in accordance with the Biosecurity Act 2015.
- Weed spraying on other areas as directed.
- Recording and mapping of areas sprayed as per the Pesticides Act.
- Reporting on the presence of scheduled weeds as required.

**Skills & Experience**

In order to be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:

- Current AQF3 chemical user training
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence
- Current National WHS Construction Card (WorkCover)
- Demonstrated effective time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to balance competing workloads and deliver within deadlines.
- Ability to identify scheduled weeds growing in the Shoalhaven
- Experience in operating plant items and 4 wheel drive vehicles
- Proof of right to work in Australia
